Amwins acquires group ancillary benefits specialist Nelligan

April 1 - (The Insurer) - Amwins has acquired New Jersey-based independent general agency Nelligan, which specialises in group ancillary benefits.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction closed on March 25.
Amwins said the acquisition will strengthen it group benefits division by expanding its ancillary benefits capabilities.

Dowling Hales served as exclusive financial adviser to Nelligan in its sale to Amwins. Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson served as legal counsel to Amwins.
In March, Amwins acquired Folsom, California-based Community Association Insurance Solutions, an MGA and program administrator specialising in insurance solutions for homeowners' associations, townhomes, condominiums and planned unit developments.
