LA MALBAIE, Canada, March 14 (Reuters) - G7 foreign ministers took a tough stance on China on Friday, stepping up language on Taiwan and stating their opposition to any unilateral attempts to change the status quo across the Taiwan Strait by force or coercion, according to a final draft statement.
The G7 foreign ministers, who met in the remote tourist town of La Malbaie, Canada, this week, also said they were seriously concerned by the situation in the East China Sea and the South China Sea.
Approved by diplomats, the final draft still needs to be rubberstamped by ministers later on Friday, G7 officials said.
