SRG grows schemes offering with Brentacre acquisition

March 11 - (The Insurer) - Expansive intermediary Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has continued the build-out of its schemes offering with the acquisition of specialist broker Brentacre Insurance.
Founded in 1987, Brentacre provides insurance for modified, classic, and performance cars, as well as specialist commercial vehicles. The business will join SRG’s UK retail business Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS).
Lee Anderson, group deputy CEO of SRG, said the deal “reinforces” the intermediary’s regional schemes offering with the deal providing new “opportunities for growth and expansion” in the UK regions.
SRG entered into the mainland European insurance market earlier this year through the acquisition of Ecclesia Group's assets in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The deal will see seven businesses and 700 colleagues join SRG across the two countries with Ecclesia Group joining Warburg Pincus and Temasek as shareholders of SRG.
