Oakbridge adds Higginbotham’s Ledyard as COO

- (The Insurer) - Private equity-backed Southeast U.S. insurance agency Oakbridge Insurance has hired John Ledyard as executive vice president and COO.

Ledyard will focus on optimising organisational structure, enhancing client services and supporting Oakbridge’s growth.

Oakbridge president and CEO Robbie Smith said: “As we continue to expand our business through both organic and inorganic growth, his leadership will ensure we deliver exceptional value to our clients and insurance carrier partners.”

Ledyard spent the past 10 years at Higginbotham, most recently as managing director, operations.

Alpharetta, Georgia-based Oakbridge was founded in December 2020. It has completed more than 40 acquisitions across the Southeast.

In 2023, middle market-focused Audax Private Equity bought into Oakbridge in a transaction that saw cornerstone backer Corsair Capital divest its stake in the broker.
