XPT adds RT Specialty's Kass as executive partner in P&C

March 10 - (The Insurer) - Wholesale broker XPT Specialty has hired Steve Kass, former executive vice president at RT Specialty, as executive partner in its property and casualty line.
Kass has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Before his four-year tenure at RT Specialty, Kass served as senior vice president at All Risks for more than 10 years. He has also been vice president at Peachtree Special Risk Brokers and founded Champion Special Risk Brokers.
“Steve’s deep understanding of emerging risks makes him the ideal leader to drive our continued growth in the P&C space,” said Mark Smith, president of XPT.
In February, XPT appointed former Amwins executive Alana Kilpatrick as senior underwriter for personal lines.
