- The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Tuesday said it was dropping a lawsuit filed in December against three of the nation's largest banks over their handling of the payment service Zelle, according to a court filing.

The agency, which was virtually shuttered by President Donald Trump last month, in December had accused JPMorgan Chase JPM.N, Bank of America BAC.N and Wells Fargo WFC.N of failing to protect consumers from fraud costing hundreds of millions of dollars.
