March 4 - (The Insurer) - Argenta has appointed Paul Wilson as non-executive director of Argenta Holdings and deputy chair of Argenta Syndicate Management ahead of his elevation to chair when John Whiter departs in July.
Wilson previously held leadership roles at Bain & Company, where he led the financial services practice and contributed to the restructuring of the Lloyd’s market.
He has also served as a non-executive director for Axa XL UK and Axa XL Dublin.
Whiter will step down as chair of Argenta Syndicate Management on July 1 following 16 years of leadership.
Under Whiter's stewardship, Argenta Syndicate Management significantly expanded its underwriting capabilities, with Syndicate 2121 and Special Purpose Arrangement 6134 currently managing 800 million pounds and 133 million pounds in underwriting capacity, respectively.
As part of this transition, Wilson will succeed Whiter as chair of Argenta Syndicate Management, subject to regulatory approval.
