AM Specialty adds Paygevity's Mathews as group CFO

Feb 24 - (The Insurer) - Dallas-based E&S-focused AM Specialty has hired Stephen Mathews, formerly senior managing director and chief financial officer at Paygevity, as its new group CFO.

Mathews has more than 25 years of industry experience. This includes roles at Chatsworth Advisors, Universal Casualty RRG, Alkeme Insurance Services, Guy Carpenter, Willis, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs.

His areas of expertise also include investment banking, capital markets and accounting.

Earlier in February, AM Specialty Insurance Group appointed Mary McKay as CUO of its direct-writing MGA Pinpoint Insurance Solutions.
