Russian diplomat says talks with US did not offer more clarity on Trump's peace plan for Ukraine, RIA reports

MOSCOW, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Russia-U.S. talks held in Riyadh last week did not offer greater clarity about U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan for Ukraine, a senior Russian diplomat told the RIA news agency in remarks published on Monday.
"As of today, we have no further understanding... We need to find a long-term solution, which, in turn, must necessarily include an element of overcoming the root causes of what happened in and around Ukraine," RIA cited Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying.
