WASHINGTON, Feb 21 (Reuters) - White House national security adviser Mike Waltz said on Friday that drug cartels operating across the U.S.-Mexico border are on notice and will face the stepped-up enforcement from both countries.
"We are going to unleash holy hell on the cartels. Enough is enough. We are securing our border, and the cartels are on notice," Waltz told a gathering of conservatives. The United States on Wednesday designated Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa Cartel and other drug cartels as global terrorist organizations.
