Feb 19 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Vice-Chairman Philip Jefferson declined on Wednesday to comment on the broader policy agenda pursued by elected officials.
“I take fiscal policy and other government policies as given, outside of the purview of the Fed and I focus on monetary policy,” Jefferson said in response to audience questions at an appearance before Vassar College.
When it comes to the aims of the Trump administration, “we have to wait and see what will actually transpire” and “it’s not clear what policies elected officials will implement.”
