Feb 19 (Reuters) - The Trump administration said Wednesday it is rescinding approval of New York City's congestion pricing program that is designed to reduce traffic and raise billions to upgrade New York's subway and bus systems.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the move will halt the program that began on Jan 5.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul said earlier the money would underpin $15 billion in debt financing for mass transit capital improvements. The program was approved in the final months of President Joe Biden's administration.
