Hiscox adds AIG’s Furth as US head of claims

Feb 13 - (The Insurer) - Hiscox has appointed former AIG executive Alexandra Furth as head of claims in the US, effective 10 March.

Furth brings more than two decades of claims and legal leadership experience to the role. She most recently served as AIG’s head of casualty claims.

Prior to AIG, she held deputy general and corporate counsel roles at Liberty Mutual, the University of Massachusetts and Resolute Management.

In her new role, Furth will lead Hiscox USA’s claims practice, reporting to Mary Boyd, CEO of Hiscox USA, and Steve Parry, group claims director.

“Alexandra is an inspirational leader who is not only proven in building industry-leading efficiency within claims teams but also enabling engaged people who can skillfully navigate difficult scenarios and deliver excellent customer service,” said Boyd.
