WASHINGTON, Feb 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department charged two Russians in the operation of a cybercrime group that used Phobos ranswomware to get $16 million in payments from more than 1,000 public and private entities, according to a statement on Tuesday.
Roman Berezhnoy, 33, and Egor Nikolaevich Glebov, 39, were arrested this week as part of an international operation against the group, whose victims included a children’s hospital, health care providers, and educational institutions, the Justice Department said.
