US CFPB extends work stoppage to contractors, email says

Feb 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Monday extended a stop work order to most agency contractors, hours after directing all agency staff to perform no work-related tasks, according to an email seen by Reuters.
"Per the acting director's email this morning...this notice means that contractors must not perform any work tasks," the email from the Office of Finance and Procurement said, adding that seven "essential services" contractors were exempted.
