- President Donald Trump's acting head of the U.S. consumer finance watchdog told staff to stop pending investigations and supervisory activities of banks, a Washington Post reporter said on social media on Saturday.

Russ Vought, the acting director of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, emailed staff to say they must cease any pending investigations, and halt supervising banks, the reporter said, citing a copy of the email.
