Feb 3 (Reuters) - U.S. oilfield services firm Liberty Energy LBRT.N on Monday appointed Ron Gusek as CEO to replace Chris Wright, who has been tapped as the U.S. Secretary of Energy.
Wright will be in charge of an agency whose budget is approximately $50 billion, around half of which funds the maintenance of the country's nuclear weapons stockpile.
In November last year, the company announced its plans to appoint Ron Gusek as CEO, who has served as the president of Liberty since November 2016, if Wright was confirmed as the Energy Secretary.
Last month, Liberty Energy reported a fourth-quarter 2024 net income of $52 million and said they anticipate a modest sequential increase in both revenue and adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter of 2025.
