Trump says Panama has made some concessions amid threats of takeover of canal

WASHINGTON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Monday said that Panama has agreed on "some things" after he has repeatedly threatened to take control of the crucial trade waterway due to concerns about China's influence.
Trump said he's scheduled to have a call with Panama officials on Friday. The canal was built by the United States in the early 20th century and handed over to Panama in 1999.
