Alera promotes Englert and Foa, hires Gallagher's Lemann

Jan 27 - (The Insurer) - Alera Group has appointed Mark Englert to managing director, Northeast region and Justin Foa to executive vice president, national practice leader for P&C, and hired Ben Lemann as senior vice president, director of small commercial business in the P&C practice.

Englert, who joined Alera in 2018, has been in the industry for over 30 years and most recently served as executive vice president, national P&C leader. Previously, he has held roles at USI Insurance Services, Wells Fargo, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs of New York, Interance, and Marsh.

In his new role, he will work with Alera Group’s executive team, employee benefits, and P&C practice leaders to enhance growth initiatives, strengthen client relationships, and further integrate services.

Foa joined Alera in 2023 as regional director in the tri-state area and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He has held roles at SafeLink Group, Tanenbaum, Aon, and Marsh.

Lemann joins Alera from a 25-year tenure at Gallagher serving in various roles, most recently as president of small commercial lines.

Earlier in January, Alera promoted Piantedosi as president, and Kyle Samuel as COO.
