South Korea investigators to request extension to Yoon's detention soon

SEOUL, Jan 17 (Reuters) - South Korean investigators are almost ready to file a request to a Seoul court to extend the detention of impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, the country's corruption investigation office said on Friday.
Yoon's arrest is due to expire by Friday evening, an official at Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) told reporters.
