Japan top currency diplomat Mimura says government closely watching FX moves
TOKYO, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Japan's top currency diplomat Atsushi Mimura said on Monday that the government is closely watching foreign exchange moves after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's coalition swept to a historic election win.
"We are closely watching currency movements with a high sense of urgency," Mimura, vice finance minister for international affairs, told reporters, adding that authorities were always in dialogue with financial markets.
