Japan Finmin Katayama declines to comment on NY Fed's reported yen rate checks
TOKYO, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Japan's Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama on Monday declined to comment on news reports of rate checks by the New York Federal Reserve on Friday that led to the yen suddenly jumping against the U.S. dollar.
"There is nothing I can talk about," Katayama told reporters.
