Japan watching markets closely as volatility persists, finmin says
TOKYO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said on Friday the government is closely monitoring financial markets with a high sense of urgency as global and Japanese markets have been unstable.
Katayama, speaking at a press conference, added it is important to continue thorough dialogue with the market and that the bond market rout appears to have receded.
