SAO PAULO, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had an unpublicized call with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro last week, Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported on Thursday, citing sources.
According to the report, during the "friendly" call Lula expressed concerns about growing U.S. military presence in the Caribbean as President Donald Trump ramps up pressure on Caracas.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report. Lula's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
