TOKYO, Dec 5 (Reuters) - The Japanese government is concerned about rapid and one-sided moves on the foreign exchange market and is ready to take appropriate steps if necessary, Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara said on Friday.
"We are concerned about the one-sided and rapid moves that are being witnessed in the foreign exchange market," Kihara told a regular press conference on Friday.
"The government intends to respond appropriately to excessive fluctuations and disorderly moves, including speculative moves, on the foreign exchange market, if necessary," he said.
