
MEXICO CITY, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Private-sector analysts polled by Mexico's central bank lowered their expectations for economic growth this year to 0.40%, down from 0.50% in last month's forecast, the bank said on Monday.
Analysts also slightly lowered their forecast for the nation's economic growth for 2026 to 1.37% down from 1.40%.
Analysts also expect Mexico's peso currency to close the year at 18.70 pesos per dollar, stronger than their previous estimate but nevertheless predicting that the peso will ultimately end the year weaker than its current level.
