China October exports fall 1.1%, imports up 1.0%, both miss forecasts

- China's exports unexpectedly shrank in October, falling 1.1% from a year earlier in dollar value terms, while imports grew 1.0%, customs data showed on Friday.

Exports were forecast to have grown an annual 3.0%, according to economists polled by Reuters, slowing from an 8.3% rise in September. Imports were expected to have risen 3.2%, compared to September's 7.4% growth.
