Japan's new economy minister says government, BOJ coordination important

TOKYO, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Japan's new economic revitalisation minister, Minoru Kiuchi, said on Wednesday that it is important for the government and the Bank of Japan to closely coordinate and pursue responsible policies for the macro economy.
"I hope the BOJ will carry out monetary policies appropriately to achieve its 2% inflation target in a stable manner, while closely communicating with the government," Kiuchi said in his first press conference as economy minister.
