China's c.bank welcomes more panda bond issues from Latin American nations
BEIJING, May 15 (Reuters) - China's central bank governor welcomed more Latin American market players to issue sovereign bonds denominated in yuan, also known as panda bonds, in China, state media reported on Thursday.
"China and Latin America should promote financial cooperation in a wider range of fields and at a deeper level," Governor Pan Gongsheng said at seminar on debt on Wednesday.
Reuters reported that Brazil is considering issuing its first-ever sovereign bonds in China, denominated in yuan, although a final decision has not been made.
