Taiwan central bank governor to hold news conference after currency surges

TAIPEI, May 5 (Reuters) - Taiwan central bank governor Yang Chin-long will hold a news conference on Monday afternoon about the domestic foreign exchange market, the bank said, after the Taiwan dollar surged against the U.S. dollar.
The news conference will start at 4:30 p.m. (0830 GMT), the central bank said in a text message to reporters.
