TOKYO, May 2 (Reuters) - Japan's top economic negotiator said on Friday that tariff negotiations with the United States covered how Japan can expand trade, non-tariff measures and economic security cooperation.
The two countries did not discuss foreign exchange and national security matters during their second round of talks which lasted for more than two hours, Japan's Economy Minister Ryosei Akazawa told reporters.
Japan aims to hold the third round of discussions after the middle of this month, he said.
