Brazil reports lower-than-expected current account deficit in February

- Brazil recorded a current account deficit of $8.758 billion in February, the central bank said on Wednesday, lower than the median forecast from economists polled by Reuters of a $9.104 billion shortfall.

Foreign direct investment for the month reached $9.3 billion, far surpassing the $5.5 billion expected by economists.
