ZURICH, March 20 (Reuters) - Uncertainty about the development of the global economy and inflation has increased "significantly", Swiss National Bank Chairman Martin Schlegel said on Thursday.
"As a result, the outlook for inflation in Switzerland, too, is currently very uncertain. At present, the risks are predominantly to downside," said Schlegel after the SNB's latest interest rates decision.
"In light of the heightened uncertainty we will continue to monitor the situation closely, and adjust our monetary policy if necessary," he added.
