U.S. Treasury's Bessent says terming out U.S. debt issuance 'long way off', Bloomberg reports

Feb 20 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said any move to increase the share of longer-term treasuries in government debt issuance is some way off, given hurdles including the Federal Reserve’s quantitative tightening program, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday.
“That’s a long way off,” Bessent said in an interview with Bloomberg Television, when asked about the matter.
