Trump says US will require BRICS nations to commit to not replacing US dollar

WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Thursday the United States will require BRICS member countries to commit to neither creating a new BRICS currency nor back any other currency to the replace the U.S. dollar, or they will face 100% tariffs.
Trump has also previously warned BRICS nations Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa from replacing the U.S. dollar.
