Japan Finance Minister Kato, US Treasury secretary Bessent agree on cooperation on forex

TOKYO, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Japan Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato and U.S. Treasury secretary Scott Bessent confirmed close cooperation in forex and various issues during a video conference, Kato said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Kato did not say whether tariff was discussed during the video conference taking place Wednesday afternoon Tokyo time.
