Jan 27 (Reuters) - The Colombian peso COP= weakened about 1.2% to the United States dollar in early trading on Monday, after the two countries pulled back from the brink of a trade war over the weekend.
U.S. President Donald Trump and Colombian President Gustavo Petro had each threatened tariffs after Colombia earlier refused to accept military flights carrying deportees as part of Trump's sweeping immigration crackdown. The White House and Colombia later said the South American nation had agreed to accept military aircraft carrying deportees.
