LONDON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - The pound dipped slightly against the dollar after data that showed British inflation unexpectedly slowed to an annual rate of 2.5% in December and 0.3% month on month.
The pound was last down 0.24% on the dollar at $1.2187. It was at $1.220 immediately before the data. GBP=D3
It held steady on the euro at 84.45 pence.
Core CPI which excludes volatile items such as energy and food, also came in below expectations at 3.2%.
