Mexican peso's depreciation in 2024 marks 16-year low versus U.S. dollar

MEXICO CITY, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Mexico's peso weakened nearly 23% this year to close the final day of trading at 20.82 pesos per U.S. dollar on Tuesday, the currency's steepest fall against the greenback since 2008.
