Feb 9 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Miran said on Monday central bank interest rate policy should be lower than where it is set right now.
“I do think it's appropriate to have significantly lower policy rates than we do,” Miran said in a live recording of the radio station WBUR Podcast "Is Business Broken?"
“I think interest rates need to be lower to accommodate the labor market more, I think we are seeing some signs ... of stress” in parts of the hiring sector, he said.
