Greek unemployment rises to 7.5% in December

- Greece's jobless rate stood at 7.5% in December, down from an downwardly revised 8.1% in November, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.

Seasonally adjusted data showed 354,904 people were officially unemployed.

Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 9.9% and 5.5%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 13.0% in December from 22.3% in the same month in 2024, ELSTAT said.
