
SAO PAULO, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Brazil's auto sales are expected to grow 2.7% this year from 2025, automakers' association Anfavea said on Thursday, while production is set to climb 3.7%.
Auto sales in 2026 were estimated at 2.76 million vehicles, up from 2.69 million last year.
Production was pegged at 2.74 million vehicles, compared with 2.64 million in 2025.
Anfavea also expects Brazil to export 536,000 vehicles this year, a 1.3% rise.
The group earlier on Thursday said that auto sales in Brazil were up 17.1% in December from the previous month to 279,416 vehicles, while production declined 15.8% to 184,474 vehicles.
