WASHINGTON, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Wednesday said the Fed's next move is unlikely to be a rate hike, given that is not the base case reflected in new projections from central bank policymakers.
"I don't think a rate hike is anyone's base case," Powell said at a press conference following the Fed's decision to cut interest rates for a third straight meeting but signal that it would likely hold rates unchanged in the near term.
