BERLIN, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Though the recent threat of supply bottlenecks does not appear to pose an acute threat to German industry, the risks are likely to persist due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, the German economy ministry said on Thursday.
"The recent threat of semiconductor supply bottlenecks and Chinese export restrictions on rare earths do not appear to pose an acute threat to the supply situation for German industry in the short term," the ministry said in its monthly report.
"Nevertheless, these risks highlight the dependence of German industry, especially the automotive sector, on global supply chains and are likely to persist in view of geopolitical tensions," it said.
