
Nov 6 - The U.S. economy shed jobs in October while layoffs picked up, data showed on Thursday, suggesting a deterioration in labor market conditions.
Data from workforce analytics company Revelio Labs showed 9,100 jobs were lost last month, with the government sector accounting for the bulk of the decline. There were also job losses in the retail sector, the Revelio Public Labor Statistics data showed. Announced layoffs jumped 37% to 43,600.
