China pledges to build modern industrial system, advance tech self-reliance in 2026-2030

BEIJING, Oct 23 (Reuters) - China will build a modern industrial system and speed up efforts to achieve self-reliance in technology in 2026-2030, the official Xinhua news agency said on Thursday, citing the ruling Communist Party's Central Committee.
China also aims to build a strong domestic market, with an emphasis on expanding domestic demand and improving people's wellbeing, Xinhua cited the party's decision-making body as saying after a key meeting this week.
