Ukraine's parliament approves 2026 state budget on first reading

KYIV, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Ukraine's parliament voted on Wednesday to approve the state budget for next year on its first reading.
The bill aims for a deficit of 18.4% of gross domestic product, and state spending would prioritise the country's defence efforts, with its war with Russia now in its fourth year.
