Bessent expects first round of Fed chair interviews completed next week

Oct 2 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said on Thursday the first round of Federal Reserve chairman interviews will be completed next week and that he will present President Donald Trump with three to five strong candidates.
Bessent also told CNBC in an interview that he had reached the halfway point in interviewing potential candidates.
