NEW YORK, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee said on Thursday that while the central bank's policy meeting next month is "live" for potential monetary policy action, recent inflation data gives him some pause when it comes to cutting interest rates.
"The last inflation report that came in, where you saw services inflation, which is probably not driven by the tariffs, really start shooting up, is a danger, it's a dangerous data point," and that gives some caution toward the prospect of lower interest rates, Goolsbee said in a Bloomberg TV interview.
