BRASILIA, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Brazil's economy created a net 166,621 formal jobs in June, data from the Labor Ministry showed on Monday, below the 171,404 expected by economists in a Reuters poll.
The data accounts for 2,139,182 jobs opened and 1,972,561 closed in the period, the ministry said.
From January to June, a 1,222,591 net jobs were created in Brazil, down from 1,311,751 a year earlier, according to adjusted data.
